Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
• Perform safe and respectful transfers, ambulation assistance, and positioning
• Take and record vital signs and other routine observations accurately
• Document resident care and changes in condition clearly and timely
• Collaborate with the nursing team to support individualized care plans
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control protocols
• Support feeding, hygiene, and comfort measures to preserve dignity and quality of life

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification (CNA or T-CNA) as listed in the job requirements
• Active or eligible for state CNA registration in New Mexico
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and meet facility immunization requirements
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-centered approach

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing care and assistance with ADLs
• Comfortable with patient transfers, mobility support, and safe lifting techniques
• Ability to monitor, recognize, and report changes in patient condition
• Familiarity with charting and basic documentation practices
• Good teamwork, time management, and interpersonal skills
