Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, dressing and feeding
- Assist with mobility, transfers and safe ambulation to promote patient independence
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
- Document care and observations accurately in the patient record
- Support infection control practices and maintain a clean patient environment
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver coordinated care
- Help create comfort and dignity for residents through person-centered care
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification; T-CNA or Travel CNA credentials welcome
- Current basic life support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Ability to work 12.5-hour day shifts including weekends listed
- Pass a background check and drug screening as required by the facility
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited CNA program and state certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with basic patient care techniques and activities of daily living
- Safe patient transfer and mobility assistance skills
- Basic vital signs and observation skills with accurate reporting
- Infection prevention and standard precautions knowledge
- Good time management, documentation and interpersonal skills
