Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes promptly to nursing staff
- Support safe patient transfers, mobility assistance, and fall prevention
- Maintain clear, accurate documentation of care and patient observations
- Collaborate with the care team to promote patient comfort and dignity
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment
Qualifications
- Valid CNA certification (required)
- Current state registry as a Certified Nursing Assistant or equivalent
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or ability to obtain upon hire
- Ability to work overnight 12-hour shifts (5:00 PM - 5:00 AM) on Thu-Fri-Sat
- Successful background check and required immunizations
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completed state-approved CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in basic patient care and ADL assistance
- Skilled at taking and recording vital signs accurately
- Knowledge of infection prevention and safety best practices
- Comfortable with electronic or paper charting systems
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Good observational skills and ability to escalate concerns appropriately
