Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients in your unit
• Assess and monitor patient status, recognizing changes and escalating appropriately
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate holistic care
• Document patient care thoroughly and clearly in the electronic medical record
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and follow-up
• Respond effectively to urgent situations and support unit workflow

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in California
• Experience or familiarity with MST as listed (primary skill) is a plus
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced certifications (ACLS) preferred
• Ability to work per-diem shifts and adapt to unit-specific workflows
• Current clinical CPR and up-to-date health screenings as required by employer
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Education

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN or diploma)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred when available

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and patient monitoring
• Medication administration and IV therapy skills
• Care coordination and patient education techniques
• Wound care and basic procedures relevant to medical-surgical nursing
• Accurate charting and comfort with electronic medical records
• Teamwork, time management, and triage/prioritization abilities
