Shift Type: 12-hour shifts; specific start/end times and days vary by assignment (facility operates in Central Time)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $54 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care for ICU patients
Monitor and interpret complex hemodynamic data and adjust care plans accordingly
Manage ventilators and advanced life-support equipment with confidence
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate timely, effective care
Document patient status and interventions accurately and promptly in the chart
Participate in shift handoffs and family communication with compassion and clarity
Maintain unit safety, infection control, and quality improvement standards

Qualifications

Current RN license (eligible to practice in Louisiana)
ICU clinical experience preferred
BLS required; ACLS highly preferred
Comfort and experience with 12-hour critical care shifts
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

Critical care assessment and monitoring
Ventilator management and weaning protocols
Hemodynamic monitoring and titration of vasoactive infusions
Management of central lines and arterial lines
Effective interdisciplinary communication and family updates
Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate documentation
