Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical treatment services to consumers within credentialed areas of expertise, including individual, group, and family psychotherapy
• Deliver emergency and crisis services, including information and referral as needed
• Offer consumer support services and community education to promote mental health awareness
• Provide clinical consultation to staff and collaborate with the Director of Outreach Services and Clinical Manager
• Apply sound clinical judgment to manage caseloads with minimal supervision while documenting care and progress
• Support outreach and program goals by tailoring services to community needs and special populations when qualified

Qualifications

• Master's degree in behavioral science, nursing sciences, social work, or a related field from an accredited college or university
• Washington State licensure as LMHC, LMFT, LICSW, or MHP (required)
• At least 2 years' experience in the treatment of consumers in the assigned program area
• Demonstrated knowledge of mental health therapeutic techniques and community mental health issues
• Ability to exercise good clinical judgment and to work effectively with minimal supervision
• Qualification under WAC 246-341-0515 for specialties (children, elderly, developmental disabilities, minorities, hearing impaired, or emergency services) when providing services to those populations

Education

• Master's degree in behavioral science, nursing sciences, social work, or related field (from an accredited college or university)

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical treatment services and direct client care
• Individual, group, and family psychotherapy techniques
• Emergency/crisis intervention and information & referral processes
• Consumer support services and community education strategies
• Clinical consultation and collaborative care
• Working knowledge of community mental health issues and program services
• Experience or comfort working with children, elderly, developmental disabilities, minority, and hearing-impaired populations
• Familiarity with WAC 246-341-0515 requirements and related regulations
• Good clinical judgment and capacity to perform with minimal supervision
