Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic and CT examinations across all age groups for diagnostic interpretation
• Operate CT and X-ray equipment with attention to radiation protection and image quality
• Position patients safely and compassionately; assist with patient transfers
• Administer contrast and operate automatic injector as indicated by procedure
• Support CT/interventional procedures and assist clinical teams during invasive workups
• Maintain departmental quality assurance, daily/weekly QC and accurate record keeping
• Transmit images and reports via teleradiology systems and maintain sterile technique when required
• Rotate shifts, respond to on-call duties promptly, and perform ancillary duties as assigned
• Assist with supply inventory, ordering and equipment care to keep the department running smoothly

Qualifications

• Current ARRT certification in Radiography (required)
• Clinical competency within 3 months of hire and maintained every three years
• Ability to perform diagnostic exams relevant to assigned modality (CT and X-ray focus)
• Competence with venipuncture, contrast administration and automatic injector use
• Familiarity with tele-radiology transmission and sterile technique
• Willingness to rotate shifts, take call and report to work within 20 minutes
• Comfort working across multiple imaging modalities as needed (XR, MRI, CT, Mammography)
• Strong patient-care skills, professional judgment and ability to work under stress

Education

• Current ARRT (Radiography)

• Radiation protection principles and patient safety
• Image acquisition, positioning and quality assurance
• Contrast media knowledge and automatic injector operation
• Venipuncture and sterile technique
• Tele-radiology transmission and record maintenance
• Patient transfer and safe handling
• On-call responsiveness and shift rotation experience
• Supply inventory and departmental organization
• Familiarity with MRI, Mammography and Nuclear Medicine (nice-to-have)
