Roles & Responsibilities

Assess patients' nutritional needs and develop individualized care plans
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapists to coordinate nutrition care
Provide clear, compassionate education to patients and families about diet and wellness
Document nutrition assessments and interventions accurately in the medical record
Monitor patient progress and adjust plans to achieve measurable health outcomes

Qualifications

Registered Dietitian (RD) credential required or eligible
Licensed or able to obtain licensure to practice in California, if applicable
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient and team interactions
Comfortable working in a clinical hospital environment; orientation is provided
Positive attitude and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Education

Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field (ACEND-accredited program preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

Clinical nutrition assessment and individualized care planning
Patient education and counseling techniques
Electronic medical record documentation and charting
Interdisciplinary teamwork and effective communication
Time management and ability to prioritize patient needs
