Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality medical-surgical nursing care to assigned patients
Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, escalating concerns appropriately
Contribute to unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license for Louisiana
Experience in Medical-Surgical Nursing (demonstrated clinical experience preferred)
Comfort working 12.5-hour shifts in a fast-paced hospital setting
Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork mindset

Knowledge & Skills

Solid understanding of medical-surgical nursing principles and interventions
Proficient in patient assessment, medication administration, and care planning
Effective verbal and written communication with patients, families, and team members
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time during busy shifts
Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation practices
