Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist patients with bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility to promote dignity and comfort
• Take and document vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team promptly
• Support safe transfers and proper use of mobility aids to minimize risk
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Communicate effectively with nurses, patients, and families to support coordinated care
• Participate in shift handoffs and accurate documentation to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Clear background check and required health screenings/vaccinations as per facility policy
• Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude
• Previous experience as a CNA is a plus, but new graduates who are certified are welcome

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Current CNA certification (state-required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care basics and assistance with activities of daily living
• Accurate vital signs collection and basic clinical observation
• Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
• Basic documentation and charting skills
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively
• Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
