Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming
• Take and record vital signs accurately, reporting any concerns to nursing staff
• Assist residents with safe transfers, ambulation, and mobility support
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Document care provided in a timely and accurate manner
• Communicate effectively and respectfully with residents, families, and the care team
• Support mealtime assistance and monitor dietary needs as directed
• Observe and report changes in resident condition to licensed nursing personnel

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in good standing (PA certification preferred)
• Valid state-required background checks and health screenings as required by facility
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate approach to care
• Ability to follow care plans, chart accurately, and work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Reliable, punctual, and able to handle physical aspects of the role, including lifting and assisting residents

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited/state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic patient care techniques
• Proficiency taking vital signs and recognizing clinical changes
• Familiarity with infection control and universal precautions
• Good documentation and time-management skills
• Teamwork and collaboration with nurses, therapists, and support staff
• Resident-centered approach with strong observational skills
