Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including PCI and diagnostic caths
• Set up, operate and maintain fluoroscopy equipment and other cath lab devices with strict attention to safety
• Provide accurate hemodynamic monitoring and intra-procedural patient assessment
• Scrub and maintain a sterile field during procedures and ensure all sterile technique standards are followed
• Assist with permanent pacemaker insertions and electrophysiology procedures (AICD programming, cardioversions, etc.)
• Document patient care and procedural details thoroughly in Epic
• Maintain inventory, stock supplies, and ensure equipment readiness between cases
• Participate in on-call coverage and respond as needed to support emergent cases

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of cath lab or relevant interventional experience
• Required certifications: ARRT (R), Fluoro Permit, BLS, ACLS
• RCIS not accepted for this posting (RCIS considered only in specific secondary contexts with 5+ years experience)
• Pending Fluoro permit accepted if the candidate has already applied at time of submission
• Able to work on-call and participate in the facility’s call rotation
• Comfortable charting in Epic and working in a community/acute care hospital environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Fluoroscopy operation and radiation safety
• Cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures (PCI, PTCA, stent placement)
• Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
• Permanent pacemaker insertion and temporary pacing support
• Electrophysiology procedures and device assistance (AICD, pacemakers, cardioversion)
• Sterile technique, scrub responsibilities and equipment setup
• Epic charting and PACS familiarity
• Ability to maintain equipment, manage inventory and support procedural workflow
