Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents with respect and dignity
- Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
- Support nursing staff with procedures and follow care plans closely
- Maintain clear, timely documentation of care and resident interactions
- Promote a safe, clean environment through infection control and safety practices
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the care team to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (must be valid in Pennsylvania)
- Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or obtained upon hire
- Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living and basic patient care
- Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
- A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a team-first mindset
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in basic patient care and ADLs
- Reliable vital signs measurement and documentation
- Understanding of infection prevention and safety protocols
- Good observational skills to notice changes in resident condition
- Strong interpersonal skills for resident-centered care and teamwork
- Familiarity with electronic or paper charting systems is a plus
