Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Monitor and report residents' conditions and any changes to the nursing team promptly
Assist with safe transfers, positioning, and mobility while following facility protocols
Document care accurately and timely in resident charts and care logs
Support infection control practices and maintain a clean, respectful environment
Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members

Qualifications

Valid CNA certification (required)
Registration on the Connecticut CNA registry or ability to register/transfer as required
Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to provide resident-centered care

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Competent with basic resident care and ADLs (bathing, grooming, feeding, toileting)
Familiarity with vital sign measurement and basic clinical observations
Knowledge of infection prevention and safe handling procedures
Accurate documentation and charting skills
Teamwork, communication, and the ability to follow care plans
Respect for resident dignity, privacy, and person-centered approaches
