Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with cardiac and peripheral catheterization procedures, ensuring patient safety and excellent outcomes
• Set up and maintain specialized cath lab equipment and supplies for smooth, timely procedures
• Maintain sterile field and scrub during procedures to uphold infection control standards
• Monitor hemodynamics and patient status continuously during diagnostic and interventional cases
• Document accurately in Epic and manage imaging workflow with PACS for clear, timely records
• Support implantation procedures including permanent pacemaker placement and assist with temporary pacemakers/AICD programming
• Assist with advanced device insertions such as Impella when indicated
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (RT, PT, Pharmacy, Radiology, Social Services) to coordinate patient care

Qualifications

• ARRT (required)
• Fluoroscopy permit required (candidates with pending permits who have already applied will be considered)
• BLS and ACLS required
• Minimum 2 years of cath lab or related interventional experience
• RCIS: not accepted for this opening (facility notes willingness to consider RCIS with significant experience in other contexts)
• Comfortable with Epic charting and PACS workflows
• Able to work on-call as required and participate in orientation (30 hours)

Knowledge & Skills

• Fluoroscopy and cardiac catheterization procedures
• Scrub and sterile technique for interventional suites
• Hemodynamic monitoring and patient monitoring skills
• Equipment set up, maintenance, and inventory management
• Epic charting and PACS image management
• Experience with interventional procedures: PCI, PTCA, stent placement, pacemaker insertion
• Familiarity with electrophysiology lab procedures and peripheral vascular interventions
• Coil embolization and Impella insertion experience (preferred/conditional)
