Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming)
Provide compassionate, respectful bedside care and comfort
Monitor and report changes in residents’ condition to the nursing team
Record accurate documentation of care, vitals, and observations
Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
Communicate effectively with families and care team to promote continuity of care

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (required)
Basic life support (BLS/CPR) preferred or willing to obtain
Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required
Up-to-date immunizations per facility policy or willingness to comply
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Comfort with resident lifting/transfer tasks and physical demands of the role

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic patient care procedures and ADLs
Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
Good documentation and charting skills
Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
