Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting
• Take and record vital signs, observe and report changes in patient condition
• Provide compassionate bedside care and emotional support to residents and families
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with nursing staff
• Follow infection control protocols and ensure a safe, clean environment
• Support transfers and mobility assistance, using safe body mechanics and equipment
• Collaborate with the care team to help implement individualized care plans

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required)
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtained upon hire
• Ability to pass background checks, TB screening and other facility-required health clearances
• Strong communication skills and a caring bedside manner
• Comfortable working the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM evening shift on a per-diem basis

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience with ADLs and resident care tasks
• Basic clinical skills: vital signs, feeding assistance, toileting and mobility support
• Awareness of infection control standards and safe patient handling
• Accurate documentation and charting skills
• Teamwork, time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
