Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Provide safe and compassionate mobility assistance and transfers
• Measure and record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care and observations
• Support infection control protocols and maintain a clean patient environment
• Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and the care team
• Participate in team huddles and handoffs to ensure continuity of care
• Offer emotional support and companionship to patients during their stay

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (Pennsylvania preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification (current or willing to obtain)
• Ability to pass background check and any required health screenings
• Comfortable with patient handling, transfers, and basic clinical tasks
• Dependable, compassionate, and team-oriented mindset
• Previous CNA experience a plus but caring attitude and willingness to learn are welcome

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care and bedside manner skills
• Basic understanding of infection control and safety practices
• Ability to take and accurately record vital signs
• Effective verbal and written communication with care teams
• Time management and ability to prioritize patient needs
• Comfortable using electronic charting or paper documentation systems
