Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert respiratory care for NICU patients, including ventilator management on conventional and high-frequency oscillatory ventilation
• Attend high-risk deliveries and support neonatal stabilization with timely interventions
• Administer surfactant and manage nitric oxide therapy as clinically indicated
• Perform blood gas acquisition and interpret results to guide respiratory treatment plans
• Operate and troubleshoot neonatal respiratory equipment such as Drager VN500, 3100A Oscillator and Vapotherm
• Document patient care accurately in EMR systems (Meditech and NeoNotes) and communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team
• Prioritize patient safety and continuous improvement while working independently and as part of a small night-shift RT team

Qualifications

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• NRP certification required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience (Level 3 NICU experience preferred; candidates with 3-5 years Level 2 NICU experience will be considered)
• Demonstrated ventilator management skills, including HFOV experience
• Experience with surfactant administration, nitric oxide therapy, and blood gas interpretation
• STABLE certification preferred
• Comfortable attending high-risk deliveries and working independently in a fast-paced NICU
