Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care as a Licensed Practical Nurse in a clinical setting
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately while documenting in the patient record
• Monitor patient status and communicate changes promptly to the interdisciplinary care team
• Perform wound care, dressing changes, and routine clinical procedures per facility protocols
• Support patient education and discharge planning with clear, empathetic instructions
• Collaborate with RNs and physicians to ensure seamless continuity of care and positive patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license — required
• Minimum relevant clinical experience preferred (experience with long shifts is a plus)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Comfort working 12+ hour day shifts and providing hands-on patient care
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well on a multidisciplinary team

Education

• Completed accredited Practical Nursing program or equivalent LPN diploma/certificate

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Fundamental patient assessment skills: vital signs, pain assessment, and basic wound evaluation
• Clinical documentation in electronic medical records (EMR) and charting accuracy
• Infection control procedures and adherence to facility policies
• Time management, prioritization, and teamwork in a fast-paced clinical environment
