Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, evidence-based nursing care to newborns in the nursery and NICU setting
• Monitor and assess neonatal vital signs, respiratory status, and overall stability
• Perform neonatal resuscitation and emergency interventions in accordance with NRP
• Administer medications and IV therapy safely and document accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes
• Educate and support families, encouraging bonding, feeding, and discharge readiness

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse credential (RN) with clinical neonatal/nursery experience
• NRP required
• ACLS required
• BLS required
• Comfort working night shifts and collaborating in a fast-paced neonatal environment
• Strong communication skills for interacting with families and interdisciplinary teams

Knowledge & Skills

• Neonatal assessment and monitoring
• Neonatal resuscitation and stabilization (NRP proficiency)
• Familiarity with NICU/nursery workflows and family-centered care
• Medication administration and IV/central line care for neonates
• Accurate clinical documentation and bedside charting
• Ability to respond quickly in emergent situations with calm precision
