Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, evidence-based critical care to adult ICU patients
• Monitor and interpret hemodynamic and ventilator data and act decisively
• Administer medications and titrate drips per physician orders and protocols
• Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans
• Perform timely assessments, document thoroughly, and communicate changes clearly
• Mentor and support colleagues and contribute to a culture of safety and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure (eligible to practice in Hawaii required or easily obtainable)
• ICU experience and comfort providing care in a high-acuity environment
• Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and manage physically and emotionally demanding work
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in ventilator management and respiratory support best practices
• Skilled with hemodynamic monitoring and titration of vasoactive medications
• Solid assessment skills for complex, rapidly changing patient conditions
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and clear, timely documentation
• Ability to prioritize, delegate, and respond under pressure
