Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting)
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly
• Assist with safe patient transfers, ambulation, and positioning
• Perform routine vital sign checks and accurate documentation
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients
• Adhere to infection control protocols and facility policies to keep patients and staff safe
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in good standing (state requirements apply)
• Demonstrated experience providing direct patient care preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset
• Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and meet the physical demands of patient care

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completed state-approved CNA training program and certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamentals of patient hygiene, mobility assistance, and ADLs
• Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
• Understanding of infection control and safety practices
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
• Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with electronic charting or willingness to learn
