Candidate Pay Rate: $21 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide hands-on, compassionate care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Monitor and record vital signs and communicate changes to the nursing team
Support mobility, hygiene and feeding needs while promoting resident dignity
Assist nursing staff with resident transfers and basic medical tasks as delegated
Maintain clear, accurate documentation and contribute to a safe care environment
Build warm, respectful relationships with residents and their families

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
Eligible to work as a CNA in Connecticut or able to transfer/obtain state certification
Comfortable assisting with ADLs and working in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting
Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Previous nursing home or long-term care experience preferred

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an approved CNA training program (required)

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of basic patient care and infection control practices
Skilled in taking and documenting vital signs accurately
Ability to follow care plans and report observations clearly
Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
Team collaboration and time management during busy shifts
