Roles & Responsibilities

Provide patient-focused respiratory care and interventions with skill and compassion
Assess respiratory status and implement treatment plans to improve patient outcomes
Operate and troubleshoot respiratory equipment safely and effectively
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate high-quality care
Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and home care
Document assessments, treatments and patient responses accurately and timely

Qualifications

Active Respiratory Therapist credential (CRT/RRT) or equivalent
Current state respiratory therapy license or eligibility to obtain Missouri licensure
Basic Life Support (BLS) required; advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS) preferred
Comfortable with respiratory equipment and ventilator management
Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a care team
Professional, reliable, and patient-centered approach to care

Education

Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field (or equivalent clinical training)
Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or allied health preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of respiratory therapy techniques, ventilators and airway management
Skilled at patient assessment, oxygen therapy and aerosolized medication delivery
Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate clinical documentation
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
Strong infection control practices and patient safety focus
