Contract Type: Per-Diem

Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care and assist with activities of daily living
Take and record vital signs, report changes in patient condition promptly
Support safe and dignified transfers and mobility assistance
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with nursing staff
Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to keep patients safe
Collaborate with the care team to deliver person-centered care and elevate patient experience

Qualifications

Current CNA certification valid in Connecticut
Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or able to obtain
Comfortable providing direct patient care and supporting ADLs in a long-term care setting
Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
Professional, reliable, and committed to high-quality patient care

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of a state-approved CNA training program and active certification

Knowledge & Skills

Proven ability to perform basic nursing tasks and assist with ADLs
Knowledge of infection control best practices
Skill in taking and recording vital signs accurately
Good observational skills and ability to report clinical changes
Teamwork, empathy, and clear communication with patients and staff
