Roles & Responsibilities

Triage and assess patients presenting to the emergency department quickly and accurately
Deliver high-quality nursing care including medication administration, IV therapy, and wound care
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice clinicians, and the interdisciplinary team to create and execute patient-focused plans
Respond to emergencies and stabilize critically ill or injured patients with confidence
Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes clearly and timely in the medical record
Provide compassionate education and support to patients and their families during stressful situations
Maintain ED equipment readiness and adhere to infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (NH license or appropriate state licensure; compact license accepted if applicable)
Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred or obtainable upon hire
Previous ED/ER nursing experience preferred
Ability to work 12.5-hour emergency department shifts and handle high-acuity situations
Strong clinical assessment skills, critical thinking, and effective communication

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Emergency triage and rapid assessment skills
IV therapy, medication administration, and basic procedural support
Knowledge of common ED protocols and emergency interventions
Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation best practices
Calm under pressure, teamwork, and patient-centered communication
