Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures accurately and efficiently
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment while following safety protocols
• Position patients with care and communicate procedures clearly and compassionately
• Ensure radiology images meet quality standards for accurate diagnosis
• Follow radiation safety and infection control guidelines at all times
• Document procedures and maintain accurate patient and imaging records
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and care teams to deliver excellent patient care
• Participate in ongoing training and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field preferred
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification preferred or eligible
• Active Louisiana radiologic technologist license or eligibility for licensure
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred
• Strong patient care skills with attention to detail and professionalism
• Prior experience in a hospital or outpatient imaging setting is a plus

Education

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field; ARRT certification preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in radiographic positioning and imaging techniques
• Familiarity with PACS, DICOM workflows, and electronic medical records
• Understanding of radiation safety principles and infection control
• Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and perform in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Team-oriented mindset and commitment to high-quality patient care
