Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in a skilled nursing setting
Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
Monitor patient status and vital signs; promptly report changes to the care team
Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to develop and implement individualized care plans
Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and follow-up
Maintain clear, timely, and accurate documentation in the patient record
Adhere to infection control practices, safety protocols, and regulatory standards

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut (required)
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred
Comfortable working in a long-term/skilled nursing environment
Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize
Professional, compassionate bedside manner and effective communication skills

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Clinical assessment and patient monitoring
Medication administration and documentation best practices
Care planning and interdisciplinary collaboration
Infection prevention and safety protocols
Time management, organization, and clear communication
