Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based critical care to adult ICU patients with skill and confidence
• Assess, monitor and document patient status including hemodynamics and ventilator parameters
• Administer medications and IV therapies safely and in accordance with protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists and multidisciplinary teams to create and execute care plans
• Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and participate in emergency interventions
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and recovery plans with clarity and empathy
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Louisiana or eligibility for licensure in Louisiana
• Active BLS certification required; ACLS strongly preferred
• Critical care experience in an ICU setting preferred
• Comfortable with ventilator management, vasoactive drips and advanced monitoring
• Strong clinical judgment, teamwork mindset and effective communication skills
• Current immunizations and ability to meet facility health requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care assessment and intervention
• Ventilator management and respiratory support
• Hemodynamic monitoring and titration of vasoactive medications
• Advanced cardiac life support principles
• Proficient documentation and charting in an EMR
• Ability to prioritize, multitask and remain calm during high-acuity events
