Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care while treating each person with dignity and respect
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes promptly to the nursing team
• Support a safe, clean environment by following infection control and facility protocols
• Document care thoroughly and communicate effectively with nurses and interdisciplinary team members
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families to enhance quality of life

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania (or eligible to obtain prior to start)
• Up-to-date immunizations and required health screenings per facility policy
• Ability to pass background check and any facility-specific onboarding requirements
• Basic CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered attitude
• Reliable availability for scheduled 4-hour shifts and occasional coverage as needed

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamental clinical skills: bathing, grooming, feeding, toileting, and transfers
• Accurate vital sign measurement and basic charting/documentation
• Infection control practices and proper use of PPE
• Effective communication and teamwork within a multidisciplinary care team
• Observation skills to identify changes in patient condition and escalate appropriately
• Time management and organization for delivering consistent, timely care
