Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic procedures with attention to patient comfort and safety
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment according to protocols and regulatory standards
• Assess images for technical quality and collaborate with radiologists for optimal diagnostic outcomes
• Follow infection control, radiation safety, and quality assurance policies at all times
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and clinical teams to ensure excellent care
• Document procedures, patient information, and imaging findings accurately in electronic records

Qualifications

• Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification preferred or equivalent credential
• Valid Louisiana licensure or ability to obtain state licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working with diverse patient populations and collaborating with healthcare teams
• Previous radiography experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical training welcome to apply

Education

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or related field, or equivalent clinical training

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in radiographic positioning and exposure techniques
• Familiarity with PACS and electronic medical record systems
• Strong understanding of radiation safety and infection control practices
• Excellent interpersonal and patient-care communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks, adapt to changing workloads, and work efficiently under pressure
