Shift Type: Per diem, 12.5-hour Med/Surg shifts (exact start/end times vary by assignment; schedule determined by facility needs)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide safe, high-quality Med/Surg nursing care to adult patients
Perform thorough patient assessments and develop appropriate care plans
Administer medications and treatments accurately and timely
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
Monitor patient status and promptly report changes to the care team
Document patient care, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record
Educate patients and families about treatment plans, discharge needs, and follow-up

Qualifications

Current, unrestricted RN license (eligible to work in Hawaii preferred)
Clinical experience in Medical-Surgical nursing preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; other certifications a plus
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and time-management skills
Comfortable working independently on per-diem assignments and integrating into established teams

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

Solid understanding of Med/Surg principles and common adult conditions
Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
Patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
Electronic medical record documentation and charting
Clear communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary staff
