Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to adult Med/Surg patients
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the care team to coordinate effective patient care
• Accurately document patient status, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and discharge instructions to support recovery

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana or eligible for Louisiana licensure
• Clinical experience in Medical-Surgical nursing (Med/Surg) — per diem experience welcomed
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain upon hire
• Strong clinical assessment skills and comfort with adult acute care
• Reliable professional communication, teamwork, and adaptability in a fast-paced unit

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of Med/Surg nursing practices and adult patient care
• Medication administration and IV/infusion management
• Skilled in patient assessment, prioritization, and clinical decision-making
• Proficient with electronic medical records and accurate clinical documentation
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and patient/family education skills
