Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, expert nursing care to emergency department patients with speed and accuracy
• Conduct rapid assessments, triage and prioritize care based on patient acuity
• Administer medications, IV therapy and treatments safely and according to protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, techs and support staff to develop and implement care plans
• Document patient care thoroughly and timely in the electronic health record
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans and follow up
• Respond to emergencies, assist in procedures and support a calm, organized ED environment

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; ability to obtain Hawaii RN license as required
• Experience in Emergency Department nursing or high-acuity settings preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred
• Comfort working 12.5-hour shifts in a fast-paced, high-acuity clinical environment
• Strong assessment, critical thinking and prioritization skills
• Current immunizations and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency triage and rapid patient assessment expertise
• Proficiency with IV therapy, medication administration and emergency procedures
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
• Ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams and communicate clearly
• Stamina for high-volume periods and the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
