Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care and assist patients with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
- Support safe and comfortable patient transfers and mobility
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and dignified environment for residents
- Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and the care team
- Assist with feeding, toileting, and personal hygiene while preserving patient dignity
- Participate in care planning and follow established protocols to ensure quality care
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtained upon hire
- Recent experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar patient care setting preferred
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completed state-approved CNA training program and certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Practical knowledge of patient safety and infection control practices
- Skillful in observing and documenting patient status and changes
- Ability to perform personal care tasks with compassion and respect
- Good teamwork and communication skills with interdisciplinary staff
- Basic understanding of mobility assistance and safe transfer techniques
