Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care for Med/Surg patients (urology, gyn, ortho, medicine, surgery, trauma, ENT vascular)
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in EPIC — charting that tells the story
• Perform thorough assessments, monitor patient status, and escalate concerns promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely, following established protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate meaningful care plans
• Support patients and families with education, comfort, and clear communication
• Maintain required certifications and submit documentation (cert card, references, Nursys verification)
• Help maintain unit workflow and respond effectively during emergent situations

Qualifications

• Active RN license with Nursys license verification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Med/Surg specialty
• Proven experience with EPIC — this role requires EPIC competency
• Completed work history/resume with no gaps greater than 60 days
• Ability to provide references and current certification card as requested
• Willingness to load complete demographic info and a badge-appropriate photo into profile

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong Med/Surg clinical knowledge across urology, gynecology, orthopedics, medicine, surgery, trauma, and ENT vascular
• EPIC documentation and electronic charting skills
• Excellent patient assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making
• Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced hospital setting
• Familiarity with medication administration, wound care, and post-op monitoring
• Professionalism with attention to detail for licensing and credentialing requirements
