Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency care including rapid assessment and critical interventions
• Perform advanced procedures such as RSI and assist with central line placement when needed
• Lead sepsis interventions and execute stroke/tPA protocols promptly and accurately
• Manage behavioral health presentations with safe, patient-centered care
• Coordinate EMTALA transfers and communicate effectively with receiving facilities
• Document patient care thoroughly in the Meditech EMR and communicate handoffs clearly
• Work as a collaborative team member to maintain safe patient ratios in a high-acuity ER

Qualifications

• Active RN license (state licensure requirements apply)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
• TNCC preferred; ENPC, NRP, NIH certifications are a plus
• Must have completed 2-3 prior travel assignments
• 2-3 years of emergency department nursing experience required
• Experience with Meditech EMR and high-acuity, fast-paced emergency settings
• Comfortable working typical ER patient ratios (approximately 4-6:1)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency nursing skills including RSI, sepsis care, and stroke/tPA management
• Experience with central line care and related procedures
• Proficiency using Meditech EMR for documentation and charting
• Ability to manage high-acuity patients and prioritize effectively
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills
• Familiarity with EMTALA transfer processes and psych patient management
