Location: Baltimore, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Days not specified, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM Day

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, person-centered care to residents with dignity and respect
Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and grooming
Take and record vital signs and report changes in condition to the nursing team
Support resident mobility and fall prevention to promote safety and independence
Document care accurately and timely to maintain clear resident records
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
Help create a warm, home-like environment that promotes resident well-being

Qualifications

Valid GNA certification or equivalent credential required
Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Previous experience in geriatric or long-term care is a plus
Ability to pass standard background checks and health screenings
Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for senior care

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited GNA program or equivalent training

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of geriatric care principles and best practices
Skilled in assisting with ADLs and resident mobility
Competent in basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs
Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
Good documentation and time management skills
Calm, patient communication style for working with seniors and families
