Shift Type: 4x10-day schedule, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM (day shifts); variable shifts scheduled as needed (not rotating); on-call 8 days/month; weekend coverage required minimum every other weekend and may exceed

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform EKG lead placement and obtain patient vitals to ensure safe monitoring during procedures
• Serve as room circulator and scrub tech—maintain a sterile field and support the procedural team
• Assist with cardiac catheterization procedures including left and right heart caths, PCI and PTCA
• Support electrophysiology procedures: arrhythmia induction, cardiac mapping, ablation, and cardioversion when needed
• Participate in device procedures such as pacemaker insertion, AICD insertion/programming and temporary pacemaker management
• Help with advanced interventions as required: TAVR, Impella insertion, Watchman, ASD closures and use of specialty tools like Rotablator
• Chart accurately and efficiently in Epic to keep patient records current and communication flowing
• Float to nearby facilities (may be required to float to Providence Mission Laguna) when staffing needs arise

Qualifications

• ARRT required (RCIS candidates cannot be accepted)
• California state license required
• Fluoro permit required
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of cath lab / EP experience required (first-timers not accepted)
• Travel assignment experience preferred/required
• Pending licenses are not accepted; RTO restrictions must be included at submission
• Comfortable with on-call expectations (8 days/month) and frequent weekend coverage

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong experience with cardiac catheterization procedures (left/right heart cath, PCI)
• Electrophysiology studies and EP lab workflows (preferred/strongly preferred)
• Pacemaker and AICD insertion and programming knowledge
• Familiarity with TAVR, Impella, Watchman, ASD closures and Rotablator procedures
• Rhythm interpretation and arrhythmia management skills
• Room circulation and sterile technique mastery
• Proficiency with Philips and Siemens C-arm equipment (preferred)
• Charting experience with Epic
