Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care in accordance with care plans
• Administer medications and document responses accurately
• Perform routine assessments and report changes to the care team
• Assist with activities of daily living to promote patient comfort and dignity
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to ensure continuity of care
• Maintain accurate electronic health records and timely charting
• Support admission, transfer, and discharge processes as needed

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico, or compact/eligibility to obtain
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
• Previous LPN experience preferred; open to new grads with strong clinical training
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently on per diem assignments and adapt quickly to different units

Education

• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN diploma or certificate)
• High school diploma or GED

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Basic wound care, IV site observation, and vital signs monitoring
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Patient safety practices and infection control
• Time management and prioritization in fast-paced clinical settings
