Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care and assist patients with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning to prevent falls and pressure injuries
• Support meal assistance and timely feeding while honoring patient preferences
• Document care accurately and timely in the patient record
• Maintain infection control practices and a clean, safe environment
• Collaborate with nurses and other team members to help implement patient care plans

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Valid CPR/BLS certification preferred or required per facility policy
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and any facility onboarding requirements
• Reliable transportation and punctuality for night shift assignments
• Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, or acute care is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA certification in good standing

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
• Proficient in taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Knowledge of basic infection control and patient safety practices
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with patients and interdisciplinary staff
• Comfortable with documentation in electronic or paper charting systems
• Good time management and the ability to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
