Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) with dignity and respect
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
• Provide compassionate hands-on care and emotional support to patients and families
• Help with safe patient transfers and mobility support, promoting independence whenever possible
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with the care team
• Ensure a clean, safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols
• Support restorative and rehabilitative activities under the direction of licensed staff

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• CPR/BLS certification (preferred or must obtain upon hire depending on facility policy)
• Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and flexible per diem schedules
• Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused attitude; strong communication skills

Education

• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• Completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and basic nursing procedures
• Vital signs measurement and accurate documentation
• Infection control practices and safe patient handling techniques
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork in a clinical setting
• Basic knowledge of resident rights, privacy, and dignity standards
