Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care and assist with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and patient changes accurately
• Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning safely
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
• Document care thoroughly and communicate changes to the nursing team
• Support patients' emotional needs and encourage dignity and independence
• Help during admissions, discharges, and routine unit tasks to keep the team moving

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Valid state authorization to practice as a CNA (Pennsylvania preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Previous experience as a CNA or strong clinical skills in direct patient care preferred
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
• Dependable, team-oriented, with strong communication and patient-centered focus

Education

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of ADLs, basic patient hygiene, and mobility assistance
• Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control and patient safety practices
• Strong interpersonal skills and compassionate bedside manner
• Basic charting and documentation skills; willingness to learn facility systems
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary care team
