Location: Albuquerque, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (days vary), 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM (day shift)

Hours per Week: 38

Candidate Pay Rate: $28 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents in the Bear Canyon Rehab Center
Administer medications and treatments safely and according to facility policies
Perform patient assessments and monitor changes in condition
Document care accurately in the patient record and communicate findings to the care team
Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to support resident-centered care plans
Educate residents and families about care, medications, and safety measures

Qualifications

Active and unrestricted LPN or RN license valid in New Mexico
Current BLS (CPR) certification or willing to obtain
Clinical experience in long-term care, rehab, or similar settings preferred
Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
Ability to work per-diem shifts, adapt to variable schedules, and support team needs

Education

LPN: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program (diploma/certificate)
RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in patient assessment and basic clinical procedures
Knowledge of medication administration and documentation best practices
Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
Comfortable using electronic health record systems and charting
Team-oriented mindset with strong communication and prioritization skills
