Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients including assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record patient vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
• Assist with safe patient mobility, transfers, and positioning
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
• Collaborate closely with RNs and interdisciplinary staff to support individualized care plans
• Document care accurately and timely in patient records
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients and their families to support comfort and dignity

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or must obtain upon hire
• Previous experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, or similar setting is a plus
• Able to work overnight 12-hour shifts and flexible per-diem scheduling
• Must pass background check and meet facility health/immunization requirements
• Reliable, compassionate, and team-oriented with strong communication skills

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and knowledge of ADLs
• Ability to take and accurately record vital signs
• Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
