Location: Albuquerque, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (days vary), 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM, day

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $17 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living
Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
Assist nursing team with transfers, mobility and safe patient handling
Maintain clean, safe patient environments and follow infection control protocols
Document patient care and observations clearly and timely in charts
Communicate effectively with patients, families and interdisciplinary team members
Support timely admissions, discharges and bedside care tasks with a positive attitude

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — state-certified CNAs encouraged to apply
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
Ability to pass background check and required pre-employment screenings
Previous experience in a long-term care, rehab, or acute-care setting is a plus
Strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and compassion for patient care

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an approved CNA program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Basic patient care and ADL assistance
Reliable vital signs measurement and recognition of changes
Familiarity with infection control and safety standards
Clear documentation and communication skills
Teamwork and ability to follow nursing care plans
Comfortable with physical aspects of the role, including safe patient handling
