Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care to residents at Bear Canyon Rehab Center
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly
• Support care plans by documenting observations accurately and on time
• Help create a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure continuity of care and positive outcomes

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (required)
• Active state registry in New Mexico or ability to transfer/obtain registration
• Comfort working night shifts and providing hands-on resident care
• Ability to pass background checks and any facility-required screenings
• Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing care and ADLs (activities of daily living)
• Patient safety and infection control best practices
• Clear, respectful communication with residents, families, and the care team
• Observation and documentation skills to capture changes in condition
• Ability to follow care plans and direction from licensed nurses
