Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients: assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding, and mobility
• Support residents in daily living activities and promote independence
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
• Document care and patient responses accurately and on time
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control protocols
• Collaborate with rehabilitation and nursing staff to support care plans and positive outcomes

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
• Valid state work authorization and ability to work in New Mexico
• Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living and patient transfers
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• CPR/BLS certification preferred but not required
• Previous experience in long-term care or rehabilitation settings is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in basic patient care and ADLs
• Knowledge of proper infection control and safety procedures
• Able to document care accurately and communicate clearly with the team
• Compassionate bedside manner and patience with residents
• Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
