Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care with compassion and respect, assisting with activities of daily living
• Perform vital signs and basic clinical observations, promptly reporting changes to the nursing team
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning to promote patient comfort and prevent injury
• Maintain a clean, safe environment for patients and follow infection control practices
• Document care accurately and communicate effectively with nurses and interdisciplinary team members
• Support patients’ emotional needs by offering reassurance and building rapport

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification and active state registration in New Mexico
• Demonstrated ability to work overnight shifts and adapt to per diem scheduling
• Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude
• Proof of required immunizations and ability to pass facility background checks (per facility policy)
• Dependable, compassionate, and patient-centered approach to care

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Comfortable taking and recording vital signs and observing patient condition
• Basic infection control practices and safe patient handling principles
• Good bedside manner and ability to communicate effectively with patients and families
• Time management and ability to prioritize patient needs during busy shifts
• Teamwork mindset and willingness to collaborate with nursing staff
